Toddler Thursdays In-Person
Looking for something fun to do with your toddler? Check out Houston Public Library's new series just for kids who aren't in kindergarten yet-Toddler Thursdays! Each week, we'll have a different fun show or activity to entertain your kids before naptime!
This week's activity is Little Explorers Petting Zoo by Wild Things Zoofari! Meet all kinds of little animals and pet them.

Animals may include a rose breasted cockatoo, baby ruffed lemur or baby kangaroo, tortoise, bunnies, chicks, ducklings, guinea pigs, chinchillas and a hedgehog! Animal ambassadors from Wild Things Zoofari were either from homes that could no longer care for them or raised by them from babies.
There is no guarantee all the animals can make it. Our ambasssadors have bad days just like you and I. In the event that happens they will have a substitute fill in for them.
Please note these Petting Zoo rules:
- No gum or candy allowed in petting zoo area
- No food or drinks allowed in the petting zoo area
- No running, jumping or screaming
- No hopping like a kangaroo
- No chasing animals
- No picking up animals
- No sitting or laying on animals
- Only petting or brushing on the backs of the animals is allowed
- No playing in the animals waters
- Children must be within arms reach of their adult at all times
