Race & Social Justice Book Club Online
The Race and Social Justice Book Club uses fiction and non-fiction to explore timely concepts such as the construction of race in our society and its legal, political, and social impacts. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, our September novel is Sandra Cisneros' coming-of-age classic, The House on Mango Street. Told in a series of vignettes-sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes deeply joyous-Sandra Cisneros' masterpiece is a classic story of childhood and self-discovery.
