Clayton Library Presents: From Slavery to Freedom: The Underground Railroad

Clayton Library Presents: From Slavery to Freedom: The Underground Railroad Online

The Underground Railroad is an amazing story about ordinary people who risked their own lives working to right a terrible wrong. It was a secret and illegal enterprise that was neither underground nor a railroad. It was a vast network of paths, roads, swamps, and river crossings operated through the committed efforts of individuals, both black and white. While only a few written records exist, many stories have survived. Join us for this special virtual presentation from guest speaker Dr. Deborah Abbott.
