About Location

In 1904, one of our first libraries was named in honor of Andrew Carnegie, a wealthy steel manufacturer. He enriched Houstians and financed construction of 2,500+ public libraries throughout the world.

A premier resource for college and career support, cafécollege Houston’s services are free and accessible for youth, including those referred by the juvenile justice system, first time college seekers, and adult learners. cafécollege Houston opened in December 2015, and is housed at the Houston Public Library’s Carnegie Neighborhood Library & Center for Learning in Houston’s near Northside neighborhood. cafécollege Houston staff is knowledgeable, experienced, and readily available to work with you to ensure your learners are college and career ready.
